Overview
Photography at its best is creative, inspiring, and deeply fulfilling. Every photographer has their moments (and sometimes much more) of frustration and disappointment. And yet something still calls us to venture forth with our cameras and capture something that moves us.
I find it exhilarating to be in a new environment with unlimited possibilities. In this new series of photography workshops, I invite you to join me as we explore some of the most photogenic places on earth. It doesn’t matter who has been there before. All that matters is your creativity, your discovery, your connection with your subject that allows you to translate what you feel into a keenly felt image.
Come join me in exploring the world through the lenses of our cameras. These workshops will focus on camera work, primarily composition, but also mechanics, with some theory thrown in as needed.
I’ll also include some optional exercises for you to improve your skills, and to be able to get dependable results from your equipment.
Workshops
My destination workshops combine working in the field with our cameras, spending time reviewing those images on the computer, and sharing feedback with one another. Although I pepper my workshops with stories from some of my famous relatives (and borrow a few ideas from some of their workshops), these workshops are my own creation, and each one is unique.
Over the last ten years I have led more than 200 weekend workshops on three continents for the Human Awareness Institute, focusing on love, intimacy and sexuality. I’m very excited to bring what I’ve learned leading workshops in another field into my passion for photography. Come join me.
